At ERA Shields Real Estate, we are uniquely positioned to understand the needs of the communities where we live and work – thanks to our deep roots in the state of Colorado. That’s why we encourage, empower and celebrate giving back.
We at ERA Shields have a strong commitment to our fellow neighbors. We all share the same community; so to us, investing in its future just makes good sense.
In 1998, we established our Community Leader’s Volunteer Committee. Our primary efforts have focused on children and families at risk, housing, and quality-of-life organizations. However, our committee reviews all solicitations received from non-profit organizations.
We are honored to be a past recipient of the Community of Kindness Award for Small Business; the only real estate company in the area to receive this award.
Below is a partial list of organizations that Shields has been involved with:
Drop Off Site Thru Nov. 15th
Salvation Army Food Drive Collection Site: ERA Shields will be taking shelf-stable food donations to support our local Salvation Army Food Pantry located at 908 Yuma St, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. The Salvation Army helps individuals fight the battle against food insecurity by providing nearly 400,000 meals and food bags last year to those experiencing hardship. Both of our offices are official dropoff locations for shelf-stable food donations. We invite you to assist us in reaching our goal of 500 lbs. of food donations. We will be collecting food donations through November 15th at both of our office locations.
Colorado College Hockey
ERA Shields Real Estate is a proud sponsor of the Colorado College Hockey Program in Colorado Springs, CO.
Peaches! Peaches! Peaches!
Thank you to everyone who purchased peaches again this year! This is an annual fundraiser organized by our real estate agent, Lars Gronhagen, on behalf of ERA Shields Real Estate, for the benefit of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Funds raised go to MDA for the purpose of sending MDA clients (young and teenage) to the annual MDA Muscle Camp held up in Empire, CO. The camp gives the clients (ages vary from year-year) a chance to relax and have fun for a week while giving their family and caregivers a much-needed and well-deserved break.
