It is my belief that buying, selling, remodeling or building a home is one of the hardest and most important decisions most people make in their lifetime. Streamlining and creating problem-free, stress-free situations in the entire process is my goal as a real estate agent.
I cherish my childhood growing up in Colorado Springs and was excited to move back in 1981 after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado. For 15 years I developed and ran the first Jazzercise franchise & agency in Southern Colorado until 1994 brought a move to the Monument area where my husband and I raised our 3 children. With my youngest preparing to enter CU Boulder in the Fall of 2013 I am so happy to have been able to focus my life around raising our children and look forward to the excitement their bright futures will bring to our lives. Along with children and people in general, I love animals, exercise of all kinds; hiking, running, biking and dancing and appreciate the wonderful area of the world that we are so lucky to live in.
In 1998 my husband and I started our custom home building & remodeling business, Riverwood Homes. Among my variety of duties running the company, I have designed homes, helped customers with their custom home or remodel design and helped our customers pick out building lots along with all of the bookkeeping and ordering needed to run a business of this kind. Through our business I have been involved in a multitude of real estate transactions and understand how important a knowledgable team is to ensure successful transactions. The ERA Shields team has close to 100 agents with an average of 16 years per...that means close to 1600 years experience buying & selling real estate!
